Peacocks seem to be a magical mystical creature, where much symbolism and folklore revolve around. In all of this what seems to mystify people most is the beauty. It is hard to deny the captivating qualities the peacock's feather obtains, which makes it an interesting choice for a wrap. Naomi is Minako's new interpretation the peacock feather with a focus on the overall view on the feather, strand to heart.
The color of this Naomi is something that instantly appealed to me. The pink and grey seemingly opposing forces work together harmoniously to make an eye appealing color pallet. Interestingly enough depending on which side of the wrap you look at the pink can either appear as a baby pink or as a coral, consequently my favorite carries tended to be ones that showed off both sides of the wrap. To compliment the sophistication and grace of the peacock Minako has chosen luxury textiles weave this beauty in. The silk and the merino feel perfectly at home with this design.
Besides being lovely to look at Naomi was also lovely to wrap with. It has the type of softness you would want to snuggle on a long winter's night, with a strength that instantly convinces you it's no lightweight. Passes seem to tighten on command with little to no effort to get a seamless looking and feeling wrap job. The wrap seemed to encompass my wrapee and he melted into it. Naomi held enough density to be extremely cloud feeling on my shoulders while not being bulky or overbearing. The knot was larger but not on the gigantic side and just enough stretch to have some give but avoids excessive sag. Although the wrap has touchable softness to it, the pattern balances out the glide with just the right amount of grip.
Naomi is for everyone from learning to experienced and from newborn to toddler, it is a uniquely balanced wrap with stunning aesthetic qualities. Familiarize yourself on wool washing techniques and this is really a wrap that can take you far, despite being on the luxury side it has a denser weave that isn't pull prone.
Thank you again Minako for letting for opportunity to try one of your wraps it was definitely well received here and we look forward to seeing what beauties the feature holds.
