This was my first Tsumugi silk blend but I have tried multiple bourette silk blends from other brands. I was pleasantly surprised by the feel of the Tsumugi silk. It is textured like bourette but felt much softer and not as cool to the touch. This wrap feels very dense and thick in hand and due to the texture I was worried it would be a bit beastly to wrap with but I was again very happy to be wrong. It glides quite well for such a textured feel and the thickness did not make it overwhelming. At almost 27 weeks pregnant I can often tire easily while wrapping but was so glad at the ease of wrapping with this beauty. Once wrapped the wrap was grippy enough that it wasn't going anywhere, I was even able to hold a DHFWTUB in a single knot! I knew this wrap would be toddler worthy because of it's thickness but didn't realize just how toddler worthy it would be. It was so cushy and comfortable on my shoulders and held my toddler so securely and weightlessly (as weightlessly as she gets at almost 3) that I was shocked to find I did not have the back pain that I have grown accustomed to with pregnant toddler wearing. I didn't want to take her down and my wrap striking toddler seemed to approve as well since she was starting to fall asleep from sleepy dust and wasn't doing her usual of begging to be let down. I have churned a lot through the years and there are very few travelers that come through here that blow me away but this one really has. I will be looking to add this to my stash for sure.
